I haven't been sick in like 5 years.
I've probably vomited once or twice over that period from having too many beers but I haven't actually been sick from catching a cold/flu or had something that puts me in bed or where I've needed to go to the doctor.
I haven't always been this way though.
Growing up, I would fall sick every few months, nothing major but like most people, there would be several times a year where I wasn't feeling well for a couple of days.
About 10 years ago I met a guy who claimed that he hadn't been sick in about 7 years which I thought was BS.
My belief was that everyone has to get sick every couple of months to give the body a bit of a recharge so it can get healthy again.
Even though, I found it hard at the time to believe that this guy didn't get sick (because it wasn't a reality for myself and everyone I knew) I now get it.
There's more to health than just eating the right foods and exercising.
I know plenty of people that eat much healthier than me and exercise much more but still get sick a few times a year.
When it comes to my health, I prioritize it, I work on it every week but I don't do anything extreme.
No extreme diets, no extreme exercise, no magic pills.
